Warning there are a lot of pictures... we had a busy weekend.
First off RYAN IS DONE WITH BOARDS! YAY! Enough said. We get daddy all to ourselves for the summer and we are taking full advantage.
Our first adventure we decided to head over to St. Louis for the weekend. The zoo is free and we can go to the temple. We drove up Thursday night and got up really early Friday (not by choice, Toree is an early riser) to head to the zoo all day. She has been talking about the zoo all week so it was fun to see her experience it.

The first Carousel ride. Toree was not excited about getting on an animal for some reason.
But she wanted to climb on every other animal she saw.
The water fountain was the biggest hit at the zoo. This is trying to get Toree to leave the first time around.
Enjoying the sea lion show. The enjoying part lasted only a few minutes but it was still really cute.
Toree wanted soo bad to get on the train...
Then she wanted off, then back on, the cycle continues.
We went back to the hotel for a nap and brought a swim suit so she could really get wet. It really was the best part of the zoo, not the animals.
We conned her into getting on a zebra right before we left. Of course she didn't want to get off when it was time to go.
Ryan wanted to try the famous Fitz's Root Beer.
Dinner was good but we went through 5 mugs of root beer.
I had to try the famous Ted Drewe's custard. It was a little ways away but once we got there we knew it had to be good. There was a traffic director and everything. It was insane.
There were lines and lines of people and the traffic guy said it was pretty normal every night for it to be this crazy. It was worth it!
We ended our trip on Saturday and went to the temple. The best part of going to a city with a temple. (We have broken ground in KC though so hopefully not too long before we have one close.)We had a great time even though it went by so fast. Can't wait for more summer fun!

WOW---Daddy for the whole summer! Same here! :) Great trip to St. Louis. The zoo is great. We didn't try the children's side of the zoo but now that I see what is over there maybe we'll do that next time! I've never commented on anyone weight before but Ryan looks like he's lost weight from the boards? How were they--you'll have to email us! Great pics! So I take it the root beer was totally worth it? We'll have to try it our next temple trip.
How fun! Toree is SO stinkin' cute. I wish we could hang out with you guys some time. I think Carter and Toree would be best buds.
You should have called us! we live 10 minutes from the temple!
