Sugar Addicts Annonymous

Hello... My name is Lyndee... I am a sugaraholic. So Lent started yesterday and our resolve was to stay away from fructose, corn syrup, sugar, etc. until good 'ol Friday. However, I have realized that even one day without sugar is soo difficult for us!! Even Ryan succumbed to temptation. How does anyone live without it? So our new lent resolution: decrease our sugar intake by 90%. This is an achievable goal I think. Besides, a little sugar never hurt anybody.

I did the same thing with my mom and sisters last year. I LOVE SUGAR! A moment on the lips, forever on the hips. I allowed myself to have dessert/sugar 5 times a week. That might sound like a lot until someone tries it. Of course that's out the window with pregnancy but I think I'm going to try it after the baby's born. Good luck!

Giving up sugar is hard! Jon and I have been really trying to stay away from processed sugar (white sugar) and have pretty much eliminated HFCS. I'm working on really trying to reduce artificial sugars too, because I think they make me crave carbs worse! If you read this article about HFCS you might really want to stay away!! http://nourishedkitchen.com/?p=412

Lyndee, I too am a sugarholic! Tonight I had oreos, a piece of cheesecake, and other random candy here and there! I am out of control!

Not the best way but get pregnant! I can't have any sugar during my pregnancies so that gives me a non-sugar diet every other year-ish! :)
